PENNSYLVANIA’S WAY-TO-WORK PROGRAM
Looking
for a summer job?
Paid working experience?
Put some Green in your Jeans!
The
PA CareerLink Luzerne County is busy lining up local Luzerne County employers
who are offering employment opportunities this summer.
You
will receive full pay for up to 30 hours of work at the minimum wage of
$7.25/hour.
Is this a fit for you?
The paycheck will come from the
Employer you are working for, but the funds actually will be coming through the
Stimulus Act. Therefore, there are some “eligibility” requirements that must be
met.
Do
you fit into either of these categories?
If you are 16 or 17
years of age and a legal parent or guardian is receiving TANF (Assistance)
If you are 16 or 17 years of
age and are a member of a household that meets certain income limits (235% of
the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines)
For example, for a family
size of two, 235% of FPIG would be an annual income of $34,240. For a family of
four, that eligibility would be $51,818.
Are you interested?
Contact
the PA CareerLink Wilkes-Barre and ask to speak with Lindsey Novak.
